Some people find peace in water, in the oceans, in the forest, in family, and others find it in mountains.
Ever since I went to Arizona and drove through Colorado in 2008, I have found that mountains bring this immense peace and soulful joy- a kind of peace that words cannot describe well enough.
Sometimes, a trip, even a quick one, to what brings you absolute peace is all you need for a reset.
Every time I see a mountain, I always wonder how one cannot believe in God.

The mountains above are the Smoky Mountains. I took these pictures while on the skybridge. If you ever get a chance to go, I would highly suggest it. You get to see a view you would not otherwise see.
I remember walking on the bridge, with a little fear the ropes would just snap, and pausing to control my breath-these were that beautiful.
I looked at the shape, the peaks, the valleys, the greenery, the birds flying, the bears (yes, we saw two!!), and I just nearly cried tears of…peace. Not so much joy, but peace.
You ever look at something and feel like nothing else matters? Like all of your stresses, struggles, drama are just gone?

This is the feeling I get when I look at a mountain.
How does one get this kind of a special feeling?
To me, it is an example of God’s creation. And anything that is created by God is incredibly beautiful and peaceful.
The Beautiful Lesson
Even if you don’t believe in God, at least take some time in the world and reflect on the earth’s beauty. In this moment of reflection, you may just find yourself in awe, in peace, and in joy.

My love for mountains inspired me to make a comfy shirt that is simple yet showcases the majestic beauty of mountains. Check it out below. It is available at our shop- My Dogs Advocate.
